George Rodéz was born in Manhattan, New York on March 20, 1957. In 1958, because of a family illness, he was sent to Havana, Cuba to live with his grandparents. He returned to live with his parents in Miami, Florida in 1960, where he has lived ever since. His passion for art grew at the very early age of thirteen. He has displayed much of his work throughout various museums, galleries, and businesses in Florida, North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Soho, New York, Puerto Rico, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland, just to name a few. In 2004, he was nominated to participate in the Fifth International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Florence, Italy to be held in 2005. Rodéz has also appeared in several local newspapers, television shows and news segments, as well as gracing the international cover of Arts New View magazine.
