We began our business in South Florida in 1987 as Filmtrade Equipment & Supply, focusing on the combination of sales and rentals of lighting and grip equipment. In 1992, the name and the primary focus of the company changed. Focusing solely on the rental of lighting and grip equipment in the South Florida area, we changed our name to Filmtrade Equipment Rentals, Inc. Our success has been dramatic. Over the past three years, our customer base has grown by over 300% and our inventory rivals that of any of the rental houses either in Hollywood or in New York. Our main focus has been serving commercial producers who are shooting in the Miami area and in the Caribbean islands. We rent entire packages or individual pieces for use by the day or for extended periods. Our services include shipping, transportation and information for the customer for domestic or international rentals.
