For twenty-three (23) years, BAC Funding Corporation ("BAC") has honorably served as a financial lender for the African-American entrepreneur in South Florida. Formed in 1982, BAC operates as a 501(c)(3) Florida nonprofit community development corporation.BAC is the product of the collaborative efforts of over 1,000 corporate and private community leaders coming together to provide a beacon of light to Miami-Dade County following the devastation of the liberty City riots of 1980. Recognizing that South Florida's African-American business class required a financial instrument to support its cash flow needs, community leaders pooled together an impressive $6.9 million. These funds provided the foundation from which BAC's loan program was developed. Over the years, BAC has grown into one (1) of the nation's leading private nontraditional lending institutions.
